Sustainable Westchester, a leader in climate solutions, has partnered with the Young Coaches Program to introduce a pilot initiative aimed at empowering Westchester’s youth in energy conservation. This collaboration promotes the GridRewards app, which educates high school students on smart energy practices and environmental justice, enabling them to reduce energy costs while minimizing pollution.

As part of the initiative, Young Coaches participants will engage in specialized training sessions on peak energy management and carbon emission reduction strategies. These sessions, offered both virtually and in-person, will empower high schoolers to lead sustainability efforts in their communities.

Participating families could earn an average of $80 annually through GridRewards, while Young Coaches earn a $10 referral fee for every family enrolled using their code. Equipped with marketing materials and event resources, the Young Coaches are set to inspire their communities in this innovative, impactful campaign.
